What it is:
Despite the mad-scientist-in-a-white-coat stereotype, science is pretty darn cool (and weird, and often hard to fathom!).
Inventions and discoveries sustain our world, and when you've a science or tech message to get across it can be hard to package it just right.
Pukeko Blue specialises in the 'dark art' of science communication
The simplest way to explain it is it's the act of ‘popularising science' - making it fun, engaging and digestible. You can now get yourself a degree in it and you can make a living from it (just!).
Science communicators act as brokers between science and the public, and command a wide range of communication tools.
What we did:
We developed the Pukeko Blue website from the excellent design supplied by our friends at Inc Creative. The design called for several features such as multi mini-sites which each have their own theme and the ability easily add content without having to create a multitude of pages.
The Pukeko Blue website features online games, an online exhibition and galleries all of which have their content updated from the Nyx CMS.
